Come discover the Ohio to Erie Trail with us! This adventure is for trail lovers who enjoy the relaxing and quiet journey on bike paths and quiet country roads, exploring the length of the trail from the shore of Lake Erie all the way down to Columbus, the capital of Ohio. We begin on Mon., Aug. 14, gathering at the Fairfield Inn in Columbus, where we will celebrate with an opening banquet and orientation. The next day we pack up and head by vans to the Lake Erie waterfront in Cleveland, where the adventure begins. We’ll wend our way through Cleveland and along the Towpath trail through wooded canal banks and along the Cuyahoga River visiting scenic gems such as Brandywine Falls in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, passing through cities such as Akron and Massillon. After leaving the Towpath Trail, we’ll wind our way through the rolling and pastoral vistas of Ohio’s Amish country along the Holmes County trail, until we arrive in the heartland of central Ohio, riding some of the newest trails added to those collectively called the Ohio to Erie Trail. The tour registration fee covers all lodging, all breakfasts, and five of the six evening dinners, along with all transportation, SAG support and our trademark daily wine and cheese receptions. And for those who want more–stay aboard for the following tour when we continue the adventure southward toward the Ohio River.
